Drinking vessel (1) being difficult to tip over and comprising a base portion (2) supporting an upwardly open vessel (3) having an upper edge portion (4), which base portion comprises at least one anti-slip member (5) on the side thereof facing a substratum. The base portion (2) is provided with, on the side thereof facing the substratum, a slide lip (6) situated radially externally of the anti-slip member, and, along an axial line (A-A) of the drinking vessel, at least a substantial part of the slide lip (6) is situated radially outside an outer edge of the upper edge portion (4) of the upwardly open vessel (3).
