A lock assembly includes a lock cylinder (17) with a rotatable lock tongue driveblock (171), a lock tongue (14) defining a lock tongue lever groove (144), a limit block (13), and a spring-loaded adjustment block movably mounted on the lock tongue. The adjustment block engages the limit block to secure the lock tongue in a first position. When the lock tongue lever rotates, it pushes up against the adjustment block to clear it over the limit block. Around the same time, the lock tongue lever engages the lock tongue lever groove to translate the lock tongue to a second position. Further rotated, the lock tongue releases the adjustment block so the adjustment block engages the limit block to secure the lock tongue in a second position.
