The instrument (1) has a dosing device (3) that is set into vibrations in part by a vibration generator (4) for conveying while segregating particles (2) present in the dosing device to an outlet (6) of the dosing device. Another vibration generator (5) is provided for segregating the particles present in the dosing device, where the latter vibration generator is provided to generate vibrations of a higher frequency compared to the former vibration generator. An analysis device is provided with a charge coupled device camera and a camera line. An independent claim is also included for a method for the analysis of particles.
