The invention relates to a device for producing a deposit of nanoscale particles having on at least a portion of the surface (4) of a substrate (2), comprising a first chamber (14) for containing a liquid (8) laden with nanoscale particles, the first chamber (14) being under a pressure greater than the atmospheric pressure and comprising heating means (16) for heating said fluid to the boiling temperature thereof, a second chamber (20) at a pressure substantially equal to that of the first chamber (14) and in which the deposit is carried out by boiling, heating means (24) being provided for heating said at least one portion of the surface (4) of the substrate (2), and the first chamber (14) being connected to the second chamber (20) so as to supply the second chamber (20) with the fluid substantially heated to the boiling temperature thereof.
