PURPOSE: An indenocarbazole derivative having electron- and hole- transport characteristic is provided to enhance power efficiency and stability and to reduce driving voltage.;CONSTITUTION: An indenocarbazole derivative is denoted by chemical formula 1. A method for preparing the indenocarbazole derivative comprises: a step of reacting a compound of chemical formula I with a compound of chemical formula II to obtain a compound of chemical formula III; and a step of forming bridges X2 and post-substituting on X1 and/or X2 in the compound of chemical formula III by suitable cyclization among Ya and/or Yb and R5 and/or R6.
