SIDE MIRROR FOR A VEHICLE TO PREVENT OPTICAL ILLUSIONS AND FATIGUE

PURPOSE: A side mirror for a vehicle is provided to ensure continuity on boundary surfaces with different radiuses of curvature and to minimize astigmatism.;CONSTITUTION: A side mirror for a vehicle comprises an inner zone(A), an outer zone(C), and a center zone(B). The inner zone and the outer zone have different radiuses of curvature(RA,RC). The radius of curvature of the center zone gradually changes to be the same as those of the inner zone and the outer zone on both ends. The radius of curvature of the side mirror in the vertical direction is symmetrical to a center line. The radiuses of curvature in the vertical and horizontal directions are the same within a predetermined area, and except in the predetermined area the radius of curvature in the vertical direction gradually changes.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
