The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for preventing an optical illusion of a vehicle employing an audio and video bridging system. The apparatus for preventing an optical illusion of a vehicle employing an audio and video bridging system comprises: a camera unit mounted on one side of a vehicle to photograph an image in a driving direction; a distance measurement unit to measure a distance to a subject in the driving direction of the vehicle from the camera unit; a control unit to calculate a horizontal line distance to a subject from a bumper of the vehicle based on distance information measured by the distance measurement unit, detect a subject having a shortest horizontal line distance from the bumper, and then output predetermined OSD information to an image photographed by the camera unit based on detection information; and an OSD output unit to use a graphic, a character, and a number to display the OSD information according to control of the control unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
