PURPOSE: A rare earth magnet and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce danger due to the oxidation of power by coating and diffusing rapid cooling alloy powder with R^2 and M on a sinter.;CONSTITUTION: Allow powder including R^2 and M is prepared. The alloy power is coated on the surface of the sinter. R^2 elements are diffused in the sinter by heating the sinter and the alloy powder under vacuum or inactive gas atmosphere at a sintering temperature or less.
