PURPOSE: A rare-earth permanent magnet and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce the amount of terbium and dysprosium used through alloy power and mixed powder of an oxide of rare earth.;CONSTITUTION: Alloy power comprises inter-metallic compound of 70volume%. The average particle diameter of the alloy power is less than or equal to 500um. Mixed powder contains an oxide of a rare earth element of 10mass%. The average particle diameter of the oxide is less than or equal to 100um. The mixed powder is placed on the surface of a sintered magnet. The sintered magnet and the mixed powder are heat-treated in the vacuum state or inactive gas at the temperature less than or equal to sintering temperature of the sintered magnet.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
