PURPOSE: An organic electro luminescence device is provided to ensure high efficiency and long service life because of the improved resistance of the intermediate layer against counter carriers.;CONSTITUTION: An organic electro luminescence device is composed as follows. An anode layer(2) is formed on a substrate(1). A cathode layer(3), an opposing electrode, is formed on the anode layer. Light emitting units(4-1,4-2,4-3,...,4-n) and intermediate layers(5-1,5-2,...,5-(n-1)) are formed between the anode layer and the cathode layer. The intermediate layers are formed by mixing or laminating an electron accepting material or electron donating material with an organic compound.
