METHOD AND DRIVER MONITORING SYSTEM FOR CONTINUING OPERATION OF TURBINE GENERATOR ON LOSS OF SPEED PICK UNIT

PURPOSE: A method of continuously operating a turbine generator in loss of a signal on a speed detector and an operation monitoring system of the turbine generator are provided to enhance the reliability of power supply and to greatly reduce cost loss due to abort since a turbine normally continues to operate even if failure representing signals are detected by a speed detector. CONSTITUTION: An operation monitoring system of the turbine generator in loss of a signal on a speed detector comprises a no-load signal generator(210), a speed detecting circuit(220), a blocking-signal detecting unit(230) and an operation-condition determining unit. The no-load signal generator compares the decreased ratio of the detected current from a current transformer(40) and generates no-load signals. The speed detecting circuit detects a generator speed signal, which represents the turbine generator(30) is in a normal operation state, from a transformer(50). The blocking-signal detecting unit detects a blocking-signal from the circuit breaker(60) depending on whether the turbine generator is in a normal operation state.
