PURPOSE: A mobile terminal transceiving a multimedia text message and a method for transceiving a text message are provided to give multimedia effect in a text message.;CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication unit(110) transmits a SMS(Short Message Service) message through a wireless network. A memory stores a library about multimedia effects. The multimedia effects is given to the text message. A control unit(130) extracts the multimedia effects from the library.
