PURPOSE: A scale factor determining method of a finite element contact/collision interpretation algorithm is provided to increase the accuracy of the finite element contact/collision interpretation algorithm by inducing a scale factor. CONSTITUTION: An FE graph and a reference graph are illustrated on one coordinate in a state that a scale factor is previously set up as a preset value(S100). The FE graph indicates the variation of the contact time according to the impact velocity of a first second object and a mobile first object. The velocity of a crossing point of the FE graph and the standard graph is defined as a reference impact velocity(S200). The scale factor is determined according to the impact velocity change(S300).
