PURPOSE: An adaptive polling method for real-time traffic is provided to reduce polling delay or polling-over by adjusting correlation between new packet generation times.;CONSTITUTION: Polling resources of an UL(UpLink) is allocated to a terminal(S303). If a new packet is generated in a terminal at the cycle of the allocated polling resources, the size information of the packet is transferred to a base station through the polling resources(S305). The polling resources are allocated to the next polling through a corresponding frame of a set initial polling cycle(S307). Unless the packet is generated in the terminal at the cycle of the allocated polling resources, the polling resources are allocated to the next polling through the corresponding frame at a set adaptive polling cycle(S315).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
