UNSUPERVISED FOREGROUND SEGMENTATION METHOD AND SYSTEM USING BACKGROUND ELIMINATION AND GRAPH CUT TECHNIQUES

PURPOSE: An unsupervised image segmentation method and a system thereof are provided to extract an interest object region from a candidate area by using a graph cut algorithm. CONSTITUTION: A resizing unit(101) resizes an original image of preset size. A background eliminating unit(104) eliminates the background region of the image. An object candidate detecting unit(105) detects an object candidate region in which the background region is removed. An interested-object extraction unit(106) extracts an interested object entity region from the object candidate region by using a graph cut algorithm.
