NOVEL SOLVATOCHROMIC DYE AND DETECTION METHOD OF VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS USING THE SAME

摘要

PURPOSE: Novel solvatochromic dye is provided to ensure inherent non-linear optical property sensitive to external environment such as polarity and pH of a medium and to enable use for detecting a volatile organic compound included within the solvent. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing a solvatochromic dye represented by chemical formula 1a comprises a step of condensing 2-cyanomethylene-3-cyano-4,5,5-trimethyl-2,5-dihydrofuran with aldehyde 4-dimethylaminobezaldehyde in the presence of an ethanol/chloroform(4:1 v/v) mixed solvent. A method for preparing a solvatochromic dye represented by chemical formula 1b comprises a step of condensing 2-cyanomethylene-3-cyano-4,5,5-trimethyl-2,5-dihydrofuran with 9-formyl julolidine in the presence of an ethanol/chloroform(4:1 v/v) mixed solvent.
