PURPOSE: A cradle for portable terminal and a method thereof are provided to charge a portable terminal with accumulated electric energy. ;CONSTITUTION: A portable terminal(20) is mounted to a mounting portion. A driving unit(17) drives the mounting portion. A battery unit(12) changes optical energy into electric energy. The battery unit supplies a power source to the driving unit. A controller(14) compares the power source of the battery unit and reference power source. If the power source of the battery unit is less than the reference power source, the controller supplies the power source of the portable terminal to the driving unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
