PURPOSE: A user identification card change method and apparatus of a portable terminal are provided to change to a proper user identification card according to situation. ;CONSTITUTION: A controller extracts identifying information about two or more user identification cards(203). The controller registers a first user identification card of the two or more user identification cards in a first mobile network(209). If the change request signal of the user identification card is inputted, the controller inactivates the first user identification card(211). The controller activates a second user identification card according to the change request(215).
