PURPOSE: A method for controlling the air ventilation system of a bus by using comfortability index of passengers is provided to improve the interior environment by partially controlling the temperature of passenger seats. ;CONSTITUTION: The representative temperature of each passenger space is measured(S1). Data is read out from a memory according to the operation time and operation mode(S2). Solar energy mean radiant temperature, Active mass of passenger, clo value data, and convection heat transfer coefficient data of indoor each part according to wind speed are saved in the memory. Equivalent temperature is calculated based on the data and each areal representation temperature(S3). Real-time equivalent temperature is compared to optimum equivalent temperature for each season(S4). The air ventilation system of a bus is controlled based on a comparison result(S5).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
