PURPOSE: Apparatus and method for preventing strip breakage of a startup procedure in a twin-roll sheet casting process are provided to enable the performance of a continuous casting work at the time of casting start as well as following processes without stop and prevent strip breakage by tension at the time of casting start. ;CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for preventing strip breakage of a startup procedure a drum reducer(27), a tension roll(22), and a guide strip(26). The drum reducer is installed under the twin roll and applies given tension to a strip. The tension roll is installed over the drum reducer. The tension roll guides the strip and maintains tension. One side of the guide strip is connected to a leather strip(23). The other side of the guide strip passes the tension and is wound on the drum reducer. A piece is formed from high carbon steel. The connection of the guide strip and the leather strip is done before an entry table(24).;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
