PURPOSE: A motor-driven forklift truck and a control method thereof are provided to prevent the overturning of the motor-driven forklift truck with cargo loaded on a working machine. ;CONSTITUTION: A motor-driven forklift truck comprises a battery(10), a lift switch(25), a weight indicator(24), and a controller(21). The power to a battery is supplied to a vehicle. The lift switch turns the operation of a working machine, for transporting cargo, on off. The weight indicator is located on the lower part of the loading space of the battery. The weight indicator senses the weight of the battery. The controller turns the lift switch off when the weight of the battery detected by the weight indicator is lower than a pre-determined reference value.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
