LIGHTWEIGHT BEAM COMPRISING A REAR PLATE, SHORT AND LONG SIDE PLATES, AND REINFORCING RIBS

PURPOSE: A lightweight beam is provided to improve the strength of a column composed of lightweight beams because a short side plate is inserted between the rear plate and the reinforcing ribs of another lightweight beam. ;CONSTITUTION: A lightweight beam comprises a rear plate(31), a short side plate(32), a long side plate(33), and reinforcing ribs(34) that form a C-shaped cross section including an opening(35). The short side plate is extended to the front from a side of the rear plate. The long side plate, which has a greater width than the short side plate, is extended to the front from the other side of the rear plate. The reinforcing ribs are extended from the short and long side plates toward each other. One of joined lightweight beams has a reduced part(36) which is formed by pressing the short and long side plates toward each other.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
