PURPOSE: A zinc oxide nanopowder doped with a transition metal using flame spray pyrolysis and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to obtain high photocatalytic activity by adjusting the molar ratio of a transition metal and zinc.;CONSTITUTION: A zinc oxide nanopowder doped with a transition metal is obtained based on flame spray pyrolysis. The transition metal is one or more selected from a group including vanadium(V), iron(Fe), and nickel(Ni). The flame spray pyrolysis includes the following: The mixed aqueous solution of salt containing the transition metal and zinc salt is sprayed in a droplet state. The droplet is sprayed into a flame burner and micronized. The micronized droplet is pyrolyzed to obtain nanopowder. The nanopowder is collected using a powder collector. In the mixed aqueous solution, the molar ratio of the transition metal and the zinc is between 0.001:1 and 0.3:1.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
