PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing the nano powder of a silver antimony telluride(AgSbTe_2)-based thermoelectric material is provided to rapidly pulverize rapidly solidified ribbon phase materials in a short period of time and to obtain nano-scale amorphous powder with uniform particle sizes.;CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing the nano powder of a AgSbTe_2-based thermoelectric material includes the following: Silver, antimony, and telluride are measured according to a composition ratio and are introduced into a quartz tube under an inert atmosphere. The quartz tube is installed in the vacuum chamber of a rapid solidifying unit equipped with a high speed rotating wheel. The vacuum chamber is exhausted, and inert gas is supplied into the vacuum chamber to be controlled under a constant pressure. The high speed rotating wheel of the rapid solidifying unit rotates. The introduced materials are prepared in a liquid state through a high-frequency induction melting operation. The melted materials are sprayed and rapidly cooled.
