AUTOMATIC MOLD DESING SYSTEM USING 3 DIMENSION CAD DATA

PURPOSE: An automated mold design system using 3D cad data and control method thereof are provided to enable a user to effectively complete mold planning by providing the planning information of a mold and a proposal. CONSTITUTION: An automatic planning information extraction module includes a planning information extraction unit(10) and a planning proposal information management unit. The planning information extraction unit extracts mold planning information from a mold planning process and a mold planning result. An information input module includes a user data input unit(40) and a 3D CAD(Computer Aided Design) data input unit. The 3D CAD data input unit receives the 3D CAD data of a product. A shape analysis unit(50) analyzes the 3D shape of the product from the 3D CAD data. A mold planning proposal information providing unit(60) searches and provides mold planning proposal information based on an analysis result.
