FRICTION STIR WELDING WITH TUNGSTEN INERT GAS WELDING TYPE HYBRID WELDING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A hybrid frictional stirring/bonding device is provided to enhance a bonding characteristic since the temperature distribution of frictional heat is uniformly made and sufficient firing is possible. CONSTITUTION: A hybrid frictional stirring/bonding device(100) consists of a frictional stirring/bonding tool(104) and a TIG(Tungsten Inert Gas) preheating unit. Different basic materials are stainless steel and aluminum alloy. The TIG preheating unit comprises a TIG torch(106), a TIG welding body and protective gas. The TIG preheating unit comprises a X-, Y-, Z-axis coordinate setting jig. The TIG torch generates arc to preheat a bonding unit. The TIG welder body generates current. The protective gas comprises argons, helium or one of mixed gases of argon and helium. The pin of the frictional stirring/bonding tool is located on the aluminum alloy.
