PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of cocoon floss using ball fiber and a cocoon floss are provided to have excellent thermal insulation and sound absorption, and to hold excellent thermal insulation power and restitution force due to lots of air remaining in the inner side of the ball fiber. CONSTITUTION: The manufacturing method of cocoon floss using ball fiber is as follows. A first ball fiber formation process forms the formed a single ball fiber tangled in a globular shape. A second ball fiber formation process constitutes a complex ball fiber, in which a low melting point simple fiber(20) is encircled and piled up in the surface circumference of the single ball fiber. A lamination process laminates the complex ball fiber to make it have a fixed thickness. A heating step heats the laminated lamination at a fixed temperature. A compressing process forms the heated lamination with a fixed thickness by compressing it.
