PURPOSE: Method and system for the self-calibration and setting of land departure warning point are provided to ensure excellent reliability by conveniently setting a land departure warning point based on a sign installed in the front of a vehicle.;CONSTITUTION: A method for the self-calibration and setting of land departure warning point of a vehicle camera comprises the steps of: (a) setting the initial angle value of a camera; (b) extracting an image lane from the image inputted to a camera; (c) converting the image lane into a world lane on a world coordinate; (d) determining whether both side lanes of the world lane are parallel or not with each other; and (e) if the both side lanes of the world lane are parallel, the both side lanes are set as the reference lane of the lane departure warning point.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
