PURPOSE: A paper money paying-in and paying-out device of an automatic teller machine is provided to prevent the elevation at the rotation at a going up and coming down process of a push plate of a temporary storage unit or a rotation process by establishing a lock device. CONSTITUTION: A temporary storage unit comprises a push plate(22) for the paper money being loaded and ascending and descend, and an isolation stack unit for the separation of the paper money or a stack and a case(25). A supplement fetching unit comprises the push plate ascending and descend the paper money. The push plate of the temporary storage unit is pushed in the separation of the paper money through the supplement fetching unit or the stack process. The push plate of the supplement fetching unit rises to the isolation stack unit of the temporary storage unit in order to perform the stack operation or the separation of the paper money. The elevating movement and rotational motion of the push plate operate with one motor and the gear mechanism connected to the motor.
