PURPOSE: A sensing device and a sensing method used for a virtual golf simulation apparatus are provided to reflect the spin of a ball to golf simulation.;CONSTITUTION: A sensing device comprises a camera unit(50), a sensing process unit, and a strike detection unit(70). The camera unit acquires a plurality of image frames about striking a ball. The sensing process unit is composed of a ball image processor and a club image processor(90). The ball image processor extracts a ball from each frame image and obtains a three-dimensional coordinate. The club image processor is extracts a moving object from each frame image and produces a motion trace toward the head of the golf club.
