At the same time memantine or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt is available in medicinal form with prolonged release and is subject to introduction without using mode with dose increase. Also invention subject is pharmaceutical composition, as a result of using which for treatment, therapeutically efficient permanent concentration of memantine in plasma is obtained within 20 days from the moment of composition introduction to a patient. Proposed pharmaceutical composition may be composed in the form of capsule, besides memantine or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt it contains have the ratio of Cmax/Cmean from approximately 2.5 to approximately 1 at least for 6 hours after introduction of composition to a patient.
