DEVICE FOR OPERATION OF WELL AND FOR SHUTDOWN OF WATER-FLOODED SECTION OF RESERVOIR

FIELD: oil and gas production.;SUBSTANCE: device consists of string lowered into well and of packer with shutting-down element installed in it. The element is made in form of a hollow case having orifices positioned above the packing element of the packer. A pipe is installed inside the case concentric to its axis. The pipe is rigidly connected with the string. Outside it is equipped with a piston secured in the case with breakable elements. Upon shearing the breakable element, the pipe and the piston travel axially downward relative to the case of the flow shutting-down element and pressure tight close orifices of the case above the packing element of the packer. The pipe has an upper row of orifices communicating with orifices of the case above the packing element of the packer and a lower row of orifices communicating with sub-packer space of the well. A circular bush is secured with shear pins inside the pipe above its upper row of orifices, while on top it is equipped with a seat for a ball thrown from wellhead into the string. Upon pins shearing, the circular bush travels downward and pressure tight closes the lower row of orifices in the pipe.;EFFECT: cutting-off flow of liquid either from upper section of pay, or from lower section depending which has been flooded sooner.;1 dwg
