The device has a rail profile (5.1) attached to a vehicle bottom. A connection device (4.1) is attached to an object i.e. seat structure, to change a position of the object along the rail profile. Areas of the rail profile are formed as supports for displacing elements. A retainer is formed in the rail profile for retaining the connection device. A locking device (12) of the connection device is present while inserting and/or moving the connection device in the rail profile. The locking device is protected against damages during placing a seat outside a rail.
