The unit has a light unit housing with an outer wall that is heated and outputs part of waste heat of an LED as heat radiation. The waste heat of the heat is transferred to a fluid heat carrier that is circulated in a lamp body by rotation by a pump, which is mechanically or thermally driven. A control electronics of the light unit comprises voltage matching with a rectifier and a constant current source. Light efficiency is higher than at an operating point with maximum brightness, and the LED illuminates large solid angle in a common manner.
