The timepiece (100) has a case (1) formed of a middle part (2) closed by a bottom (4) and a glass (3). A dial (5) is arranged inside the case below the glass, where the dial and/or the bottom of the case are semi-transparent. A luminous device (7) is arranged so as to project shades of an element arranged between the luminous device and the bottom of the case or the dial over the dial or the bottom of the case when the luminous device is utilized. A diffusing element (11) of the dial or the bottom of the base diffuses light in a heterogeneous manner. The diffusing element is selected from semi-transparent paint and semi-transparent metal layer.
