Massive noble metal material of adjustable color formed by an assembly of nanoparticles, the nanoparticles containing a noble metal and being coated with a dielectric layer, characterized in that the nanoparticles are shaped so as to obtain an unconsolidated compact, the compact is sintered to obtain a colored noble metal material, and the colored noble metal material comprises at least 50% by weight of the noble metal, the color being determined by the composition and the chemical environment, the shape and the size nanoparticles.
