The network has a converter e.g. flyback converter (3), cuk converter and capacitor charge pump converter, arranged between two energy storages (1, 2) for energy exchange between the energy storages. The converter and the energy storages are connected with one another such that positive and negative voltages are available with respect to vehicle e.g. motor vehicle, mass. The converter is designed for a bi-directional operation, and one of the energy storages is designed as an automotive battery for supplying the positive voltage.
