The vehicle (10) has a battery (2) cooled by integration into a coolant circuit of a vehicle air-conditioning system. A power electronic unit (3) controls functions of the battery. The battery and the power electronic unit are arranged in a battery module (11) outside an engine compartment (9) of the vehicle. The battery module is arranged in a rear end of the vehicle and above a rear axle (8) of the vehicle. A coolant compressor (5) is integrated in the battery module for compressing a coolant of the coolant circuit.
