The device has two movable blades (1, 2) for cutting a mushroom together with the mushroom stem. The blades are attached below a pipe support (3), where convergence of the blades is maintained using a handle (4). The handle is provided at height of stature of mushroom collectors. The blades are provided on a surface of a set of openings (7, 8) for counter movement of projection ribs (5, 6). The counter movement of edge ribs is controlled by the pipe support between the handle and cables that are extended to the projection ribs.
