The connector has contact carriers (106, 112) provided for electrical connection of a contact element and another contact element. One of the contact carriers (112) is designed as a passage connector. A contact bridge has a contact area for electrical contacting of the latter contact element in end mounted condition, after connection of the carriers. A holding device i.e. resting hook, is arranged at one of the carriers (106). The bridge is held in the holding device in a pre-mounted condition before connection of the carriers. The bridge is manufactured by punching of metal sheet.
