The system (1) i.e. sliding panel (2), has a sliding rail in which a sliding wing is guided across a roller carriage (3), where the sliding wing is brakable with respect to a braking device (7) installed in a region of the roller carriage. The braking device cooperates with a roller (4) of the roller carriage, and cooperates with a surface of the sliding rail, where the braking device includes a brake element such as centrifugal brake, electrical or magnetically working brake, eddy current brake and hysteresis brake.
