The fluid dynamic bearing system has a fixed bearing sleeve (1) and a shaft (2) rotating about a rotational axis relative to the bearing sleeve. The bearing surfaces of the shaft and the bearing sleeve form a radial bearing (3) with certain axial length and an axial bearing (6) is provided. The bearing surfaces arranged on an outer circumference of a bearing ring (19) and on an inner circumference of the bearing sleeve form another radial bearing (4) with another axial length. The sum of the axial radial bearing lengths corresponds to 80 percent of the length of the bearing sleeve.
