The fluid dynamic bearing system has a fixed bearing component and another bearing component that is pivotably supported relative to the fixed bearing component at a rotational axis (48). A groove (36) or step is arranged in a section of a part of a sealing gap (30), and runs transversely to the sealing gap. The part of sealing gap is not filled with bearing fluid. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a spindle motor with an electromagnetic drive system; and (2) a fixed disk drive with a writing- and reading device for writing and reading of data by a storage disk.
