The web is wound at a roller of a big bag for transport and storage by compression and packed in a cladding unit of the big bag. The cladding unit is formed by a shrinking foil of plastic. The web is formed over entire length and width to uniform density. The web is formed on longitudinal sides in an edge area and/or edge-near area opposite to an area with uniform density such that a damping cushion is formed in the edge area and/or the edge-near area. A mantle surface is partially drawn over front surfaces of the roller and/or the big bag. The web is made from mineral wool fibers.
