The protective covering has an auxiliary drive or main- and exclusive-drive for maximum speed below twenty five meters per second. The covering encloses the entire vehicle consists of two self-supporting half-shells (1) without frame construction. The covering is made of an inner layer of plastic and polystyrene foam. An outer layer is made of hard, impact-resistant, preferably unbreakable plastic, e.g. polycarbonate, polyethylene terephthalate or material of equal strength or a layer of carbon- or glass-fiber-fabric reinforced with cast resin.
