Gripper for use in freely programmable manipulator of robot, has top jaws fastened with each other by fastening unit that comprises automatically controlled form-fit operated locking unit with spring-preloaded locking bar
The gripper has base jaws (14a, 14b) adjustably mounted on a gripper base body (23). Top jaws (6a, 6b) are fastened with each other by a fastening unit that comprises an automatically controlled form-fit operated locking unit with a spring-preloaded locking bar. The locking bar is engaged in a locking bar recess of the top jaws, where the top jaws comprise a releasing unit for opening the locking unit in an opened position by the movement of the gripper base body while the base jaws and top jaws are connected with each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for changing a top jaw of a gripper in a gripper changing station.
