The method involves compressing the metallic powder (S2) and presintering the metallic powder to a porous base body (S3). The base body is mechanically machined to a molded padding (S4). The molded padding is sintered to a gas-tight body corresponding to the denture of maximal 10 percent volume porosity (S5). The gas-tight body is reworked to a denture by plastic shaping (S6). An independent claim is also included for a base body with metallic particles for mechanical treatment to a denture.
