The chair has engaging units (7) e.g. screws, attached to a rear end of a seat structure (3) and/or a lower end of a backrest structure (4), where the chair is usable in an upper end position of the engaging units in a channel (9) and foldable in a lower end position of the engaging units. Front legs (1) and rear legs (2) hold directly or indirectly the seat structure and the backrest structure. The channel is formed so that the engaging units carry-out two direction changes with the change between the end positions. A guide rail (12) made of metal is screwed with the rear legs.
