The method involves determining momentary operating strategy of a vehicle based on an operating mode of a vehicle driver and based on operating values (B1, B2) for a momentary road section. The determined operating strategy for the road section is outputted as a recommended operating strategy with road attributes. The momentary operating strategy is determined by evaluation of the operating mode and the operating values by a statistic method and by comparing data of the operating mode and the operating values, where the data is stored in a temporary memory and a permanent memory.
