The charging station (1) has a solar module (2) and a charging regulator together forming a unit. Chargeable, removable batteries (5) in an electric vehicle are removed in the charging station. The charging station is fed with solar power and receives additional power from an electrical power network during less solar radiation. The solar power is fed over an electric meter in the power network. A solar generator tracks the sun. The charging station is transported to any location. The batteries are connected in series to produce same voltage for charging the vehicle.
